With land set between rolling hills, and an amazing vista overlooking the Muriwai Valley out toward the sea, John and Kate were delighted that Michael and the team at Bull O’Sullivan designed a stunning home with inviting living spaces open to lots of natural light and maximising the view.

Careful consideration was given to the open plan kitchen and dining room of this award winning home. As the hub of family activity this featured at the forefront of the home, with easy line of sight to the paddocks, their horses, and beyond to the valley.

The home’s interior is accentuated with recycled kauri ceiling detailing and intricate joinery. The exterior was clad in bespoke aluminium panelling, which subtly reflects the changing colours of the sky.

This home won a Housing award at the 2023 Auckland Architecture Awards. It was a pleasure for the MLB team to sink their teeth into this challenging build and utilise the craftsmanship and skills of the team.
